The Tawakkalna Emergency app serves as the official platform in Saudi Arabia for managing emergency situations and ensuring community safety. Developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), it has been instrumental in curbing the spread of COVID-19.
Initially launched to facilitate relief efforts, Tawakkalna allowed for the electronic issuance of permits during the "Curfew Period," aiding both government and private sector workers, as well as individuals. This initiative was crucial in controlling the spread of the virus across the Kingdom.
As the situation evolved into the "Return with Caution" phase, the app introduced essential new features to support a safe return to normalcy. One of the key services was the display of users' health status through color-coded indicators, ensuring the highest standards of security and privacy.
