The Guardians of the Road project has been relaunched with a significantly improved and user-friendly application. Join the Road Guard project and help save lives!
Established in 2016, the "Guardians of the Road – the road of all of us" project aims to raise awareness and deter unsafe driving practices. As of January 1, 2023, the project is managed by the Safe Path association.
Any citizen over 18 can download the "Road Guards" app and begin documenting traffic violations. Operation is simple and quick: activate the app before driving, and when you witness a violation, initiate the reporting feature. Reporting is easily activated via voice command or by pressing a Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will then record the incident and details of the offense.
These reports are sent to a control center staffed by experienced volunteer controllers. Following review, a "letter on the way" is sent to the documented driver, including a link to the video recording. Reports involving life-threatening violations are forwarded directly to the police for further action.
