Scanwords in Russian represent a unique cultural phenomenon, unmatched by any other language. These puzzles are filled with literary references, humor, and current world events, making them a rich and engaging form of entertainment. The Russian affinity for the word is evident in these puzzles, showcasing a deep appreciation for language and its power.
Our application offers a variety of scanwords, ranging from simple to complex, including those with photographs and classic or associative questions such as "one word" or "one word, two words," reminiscent of Elder Fur's hints. Each magazine features an English-Russian scanword and a "holey" scanword, the latter named for a reason you'll soon discover. You'll be greeted by a character from our cheerful family on each page. All scanwords in our app are free for readers. This annual collection includes 52-53 issues, each with 20 scanwords, totaling about 50 MB of storage on your device due to the compact size of the images and text.
No internet connection is required to enjoy solving the puzzles, as long as the scanwords are already downloaded to your phone. New magazine issues are released every Friday, and if you have notifications enabled, you'll receive a reminder at 12:00 local time. Upon opening the app, new issues download automatically and won't be redownloaded if the process completes successfully. You can also manage individual downloads or delete issues through the "Settings" section, where you can download all magazines with one click.
The main features, including access to all scanwords, are free for users. Our advertisers fund this experience, allowing for one narrow banner per page and one interstitial ad before accessing a scanword. Advertisers do not disrupt the solving experience and reward users with free hints for watching their videos.
Readers have the option to manage their ad experience by: a) permanently disabling ads, b) subscribing to remove ads and gain unlimited hints during the subscription period, or c) collecting hints in bulk. These options are available in the "Shop" section of the app.

1) We exclusively use the standard Android advertising identifier for advertising placement and performance analysis. This identifier may be linked to personally identifiable information or persistent device identifiers such as SSAID, MAC address, or IMEI only with your explicit consent.
