500 rum, the perfect online card game, is ideal for friends and family. Also known as Rummy 500, this online multiplayer game lets you play with people worldwide or create private tables for games with loved ones. Using a standard 52-card deck plus a joker, players receive 13 cards (two-player game) or 7 cards (three- or four-player game).
The objective of 500 rum is to score over 500 points by forming sets (same rank) and sequences (consecutive cards of the same suit), known as melds. Gameplay proceeds in rounds. Players draw from the stockpile or discard pile (but can't discard the same card immediately). Multiple cards can be drawn from the discard pile. Melds are laid on the table, earning points based on card values: numbered cards (2-10) are worth face value, J, Q, K are 10 points each, A is 15, and the joker takes the value of the card it replaces in a meld. Cards can also be added to existing melds on the table, earning additional points.
A round ends when a player runs out of cards. The total score is the sum of melds and laid-off cards, minus the value of unmelded cards. The player with the highest score wins the round. Scores accumulate across rounds; the first player to reach or exceed 500 points wins the game. Ties result in an additional round.
