Known as Awale, Ayo, or Oware, Awale is a two-player game belonging to the Mancala family, sharing similarities with East African games like Omweso, Bao, and Igisoro.
Awale uses a board with eight holes per player and 64 playing pieces (seeds or stones).
Each player's territory consists of the row of holes closest to them.
The objective is to capture the opponent's pieces, aiming for a complete or partial takeover to end the game.
