Your goal in Brawlhalla is simple: knock out all rivals and score the most points. To defeat opponents, keep attacking until their health bar in the top-right corner turns red. The intuitive control layout features a movement stick on the left and action buttons on the right, clearly marked for Quick Attack, Heavy Attack, Dodge/Dash, Jump, Throw Item, and Emotes. You can fully customize their position, size, and transparency on your screen.
The game supports both online and local co-op for up to eight players. It includes Ranked and Battle Pass modes. For casual fun, jump into the chaotic Free-for-All, try Strikeout 1v1 (pick three characters, each with one life), team up in Friendly 2v2, or test new features in Experimental 1v1. Party modes like Brawlball and Capture the Flag are also available.
There are over 50 unique characters, known as Legends, including special crossover fighters. Each Legend can use two weapon types, throw items like bombs and mines, and even fight bare-handed. Each week, eight Legends are free to play in the Legend Rotation—unlock the rest permanently with earned gold or get the All Legends Pack for access to all current and future base roster characters (crossover Legends excluded).

Celebrating May the 4th, Brawlhalla's Star Wars Event introduces the fearsome Sith apprentice Darth Maul as a Mythic Crossover. Complete with signature visual effects and his iconic double-bladed lightsaber, Darth Maul joins an all-star roster of Star Wars heroes and villains like Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Darth Vader, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The latest update also brings new Clash FX, adds Vivi as a playable legend, a streamer mode, and many improvements and bug fixes.
Beyond Darth Maul, players can discover new content like the R2-D2 Sidekick, Sith-themed avatars and emojis, and lightsaber-inspired weapon skins.
