Durak: Classic & Transferable
Experience the thrill of the iconic card game Durak (Fool), a beloved pastime across the former Soviet Union. Our high-quality implementation allows you to enjoy Durak offline, without an internet connection, using a deck of 24, 36, or 52 cards.
Durak comes in two main variants: "Flip Fool" (Durak Podkidnoy) and "Transferable Fool" (Durak Perevodnoy). While both share some similarities, each has unique nuances that add depth to the gameplay.
The objective is simple yet challenging: be the first to discard all your cards and avoid being the last player left, known as the "fool." In Flip Fool, the classic version, if the attacker can't play a card, the next player to the left of the defender can throw one card. Once it's beaten, the turn returns to the original attacker. If the player to the left can't play, the opportunity moves clockwise, allowing all players to participate in turn, hence the name "Flip Fool."
Transferable Fool adds an exciting twist. From the second move, the defender can "transfer" a card by playing another card of the same rank but a different suit. This shifts the defense to the next player clockwise, who can also transfer, making the game dynamic and strategic.
Features of Our Durak Implementation:
- Offline play without internet.
- Stunning graphics with a variety of tables, cards, and card backs, including satin cards.
- Multiple options for sorting your cards.
- Card highlighting feature (can be disabled).
- Choose from 24, 36, or 52 card decks.
- Classic rules for both Flip and Transferable Fool.
- A "Basic" mode for a more focused game, where only the player to your left can attack.
- Limit of five cards thrown on the first hand.
- In Transferable Fool, the first hand cannot be transferred.
- In Transferable Fool, use a trump card of the same rank to cover rather than transfer by dragging it over the card you wish to cover.
Strategy and Skill
Mastering Durak requires strategic thinking and keen observation. You must decide when to play a card and when to hold back, all while keeping an eye on your opponents' moves to predict their remaining cards. Durak is not just a game; it's a test of wits and strategy.
As one of the most popular card games, Durak offers endless fun and excitement. Don't miss the opportunity to test your skills and enjoy the vibrant emotions this game brings. Play Durak for free, offline, and sharpen your skills to outsmart your opponents.
