This event coincides with Pokémon GO's ninth anniversary, and precedes the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Unova. Prepare for increased encounters with Ekans, Onix, Snivy, Darumaka, Dunsparce, Gyarados, and Dratini in the wild, with boosted Shiny rates for select Pokémon. 2km Eggs will also feature Makuhita, Nosepass, Meditite, Duskull, and Skorupi.

Event Highlights:

• Dates: January 29th, 10:00 a.m. to February 2nd, 8:00 p.m. local time.
• Increased Odds: Higher chances of obtaining Lucky Pokémon from trades and becoming Lucky Friends.
• Boosted Encounters: Frequent wild spawns of Ekans, Onix, Snivy, Darumaka, Dunsparce, Gyarados, and Dratini, with increased Shiny possibilities.
• Egg Surprises: Makuhita, Nosepass, Meditite, Duskull, and Skorupi hatching from 2km Eggs.
• Research Rewards: Field Research and Timed Research offer Stardust, XP, Zygarde Cells, and Pokémon encounters. A paid Timed Research ($2) provides extra rewards, including two Lucky Eggs and an incubator.
• Collection Challenge: Complete the event-themed Collection Challenge for bonus Stardust, especially beneficial for frequent traders.
