"Alan Wake 2 Surpasses 2 Million Sales, Turns Profitable"

Alan Wake 2 has surpassed 2 million sales globally, building on the 1.3 million copies sold between October 2023 and March 2024, marking it as Remedy's fastest-selling game to date. In their recent financial report to investors, the studio noted that this achievement, combined with the launch of The Lake House expansion and the Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition, has enabled the game to start generating royalties after recovering its development and marketing expenses.

Looking forward, Remedy teased that Control 2, developed in collaboration with Annapurna, is nearing full production readiness and will move into full production by the end of February 2025. Similarly, the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake is progressing steadily in full production.

Remedy's upcoming multiplayer title, FBC: Firebreak, is also moving forward after a successful closed technical test in December, focusing on matchmaking and backend services. Set for self-publication by Remedy later in 2025, the game remains on track for release.

CEO Tero Virtala expressed confidence in achieving their strategic goals, stating, "We are in a great place to begin our strategy period and have set targets we are confident in reaching."

IGN praised Alan Wake 2 with a score of 9/10, hailing it as an exceptional survival horror sequel that elevates the original into a polished masterpiece.
