Alphadia III: KEMCO's Global Android RPG Launch
Today marks the global release of Alphadia III on Android, the third installment in the beloved Alphadia series. Brought to you by publisher KEMCO and developer EXE CREATE, the game initially launched in Japan back in October of last year.
What’s the Story in Alphadia III?
Set in the year 970 of the Alphadian calendar, Alphadia III plunges players into the climactic phase of the Energi War, a sprawling conflict centered around the control of a mysterious life force known as energi. The world is split among three major powers: the Schwarzschild Empire in the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom in the west, and the Luminea Alliance in the east, each vying for dominance.
As the situation teeters on the brink of collapse, the narrative introduces us to Alfonso, a clone soldier whose life takes a dramatic turn following a visit from a girl named Tarte. She brings news of another clone's death, sparking a pivotal moment that sets the story in motion.
What’s the Gameplay Like?
Alphadia III retains the series' signature turn-based combat, presented in a classic side-view pixel art style. The game features a variety of systems, including SP Skills that accumulate during battles and can dramatically shift the tide of combat when used strategically.
Players can also utilize Arrays, which are battle formations and strategies that unlock as you progress, offering diverse tactical options tailored to different combat scenarios.
A novel feature introduced in this installment is the Energi Crock. By depositing spare items into it as you journey, the Crock gradually produces Energi Elements, which can be exchanged for equipment or other valuable items at in-game shops.
Throughout your adventure, you'll encounter various factions such as the peacekeeping alliance Deval and the elite military unit Rosenkreutz from Nordsheim. Additionally, you'll come across different energi clone models, including the Berger Series from Nordsheim and the Delta Series from Schwarzschild.
Beyond the main storyline, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content and is optimized for controller use. You can purchase the full version of the game on the Google Play Store for $7.99, or opt for the freemium version on Android, which includes ads.
