Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition, as predicted, has officially launched today for iOS and Android devices, and also on the Epic Games Mobile Store! A new trailer and details have been released.
For those unfamiliar with Ark, please refer to my previous article for a comprehensive overview. This new mobile edition offers a free core experience, allowing players to explore the single-player island.
Expansions are available for individual purchase, or players can opt for the Ark Subscription Pass ($4.99/month or $49.99/year). This pass unlocks all current and future expansions, provides console commands in single-player, offers bonus XP, free keys, and exclusive server access.
Subscription Concerns:
While the option to purchase expansions individually is a positive, the subscription model might be a deterrent for some players who prefer one-time purchases. The specifics of server access, a crucial element of the Ark experience, remain a potential concern.
