"Avowed: Post-Victory Secrets Revealed"
While the world of the Living Lands in *Avowed* feels vast and immersive, the main quest in Obsidian's latest RPG is relatively concise. If you're eager for more adventures after the credits roll, here's what you can expect post-game in *Avowed*.
Does Avowed Have New Game Plus?
For many RPG enthusiasts and completionists, the thrill of replaying the main quest on a higher difficulty with accumulated skills and gear is a cherished experience. Unfortunately, *Avowed* does not offer a New Game Plus mode at launch. However, the community's strong desire for this feature has been noted, and there's a possibility that Obsidian might introduce it in a future update or DLC.
Even without New Game Plus, *Avowed* remains replayable due to its rich decision-making system that influences both the story and gameplay. Creating a new save file to explore different endings and character builds can be highly rewarding, adding significant replay value to the game.
Does Avowed Have Endgame Content?
However, once you've completed these areas, the impact of your decisions won't carry over to the earlier regions, and no new regions will become available. It's a bit disappointing that you can't see how your choices have shaped the Living Lands after the main storyline concludes.
What You Can Do After You Beat Avowed
Given the absence of New Game Plus and additional endgame content, *Avowed's* post-game offerings are somewhat limited. After defeating the final boss, you'll be treated to several minutes of animatic cutscenes that illustrate the consequences of your choices on the world and characters of the Living Lands. Once these scenes end, you'll return to the Main Menu.
From the Main Menu, you have the option to start a new journey with a different Envoy or reload a previous save. You can access autosaves from just before the point of no return and before the final encounter, allowing you to replay these sections with different decisions to see varied story outcomes and endings.
Reloading a save to a point before the final stretch also enables you to revisit earlier regions. This gives you the chance to complete any remaining side quests, collect missed items, and earn achievements. Since enemies in these regions won't scale to your level, returning to early areas like Dawnshore with your high-end gear can be incredibly fun and satisfying.
And that's what happens after you beat *Avowed*.
*Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.*
