Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8
Larian Studios has announced that the stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 will begin in January. This test will be available on PC via Steam, and on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not have access to this stress test build. Registration is currently open.
Larian plans to thoroughly test Patch 8 for stability and gameplay issues before its official release. They're inviting players to participate in this crucial testing phase, specifically highlighting the need for help in testing the new cross-play functionality. Implementing cross-play in a game as large as Baldur's Gate 3 has presented significant challenges, and player feedback is vital. Larian encourages players to share the registration link with friends or join the Larian Studios Discord server to find others to play with.
While Patch 8 marks the final major update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian has committed to ongoing support for the game's modding community. Significant updates are planned to enhance modding capabilities, enabling players to create and share even more personalized experiences. Since the release of official mod tools in September, players have downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods, demonstrating the vibrant and active modding community.
