Batman Dev Seeks Game Director
Rocksteady Studios is searching for a Game Director for its next major project, as revealed in a job posting by Warner Bros. Discovery on February 17th.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of game design, from core mechanics and player progression to combat and mission structure. Experience in third-person action, open-world adventures, and melee combat is highly desired. This job description has fueled speculation about a potential return to the Batman franchise, the series that propelled Rocksteady to fame. The requirements strongly align with the Batman: Arkham series, unlike the studio's recent release, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which prioritized gunplay.
Given the early stage of hiring, the project is likely still in its conceptual phase. Industry analyst Jason Schreier suggests that a new single-player Batman title, should it materialize, is several years away.
