After months of speculation and leaks, it appears Bethesda is finally set to officially announce its long-rumored remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow morning.

In a recent post on Twitter/X, the official Bethesda account teased a major announcement scheduled for tomorrow at 8:00 am PT / 11:00 am ET, to be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch. Although the post didn’t reveal specific details, the image accompanying the tweet leaves little to the imagination — featuring a large "IV" in the center and a background that closely resembles iconic Oblivion artwork.

Talk of an Oblivion remake has circulated for years, but recent weeks have brought a surge of credible leaks pointing to a real project in development. The first hints emerged in 2023 during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial, when a leaked Bethesda internal schedule from 2020 revealed plans for an Oblivion remaster slated for fiscal year 2022. While the timeline initially suggested the project had been scrapped, new leaks earlier this year reignited the rumor mill, suggesting the remaster had evolved into a full-fledged remake — one reportedly being developed by Bethesda in collaboration with Virtuos.

Just days ago, further leaks from Virtuos' internal website appeared online, including what looked like in-game footage and UI elements from the upcoming title, reinforcing the growing belief that this remake is, in fact, real.

If the latest leaks are accurate, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will launch across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. A Deluxe Edition is also reportedly in the works, featuring the original Horse Armor DLC in addition to the base game.
