Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdateStellar Blade's recent update, introducing a highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, unfortunately, also brought some critical bugs. However, developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix.

Game-Breaking Bugs and the Hotfix

Patch 1.009, while delivering exciting new content, caused several game-breaking issues. Players reported softlocks in a main quest within an earlier dungeon, preventing progression. Additional problems included crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie camera and rendering issues with new cosmetic items.

Shift Up advises players to avoid forcing quest progression and to wait for the hotfix. Attempts to bypass the bugs might lead to permanent softlocks, even after the patch is released.

NieR: Automata DLC and Photo Mode Enhancements

Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdateThe update includes the much-anticipated NieR: Automata collaboration DLC. The developers highlighted the significant inspiration NieR: Automata provided and the collaborative spirit between Director Kim Hyung Tae and Director Yoko Taro. Eleven exclusive items are available by finding Emil, who has set up shop in the game world.

The addition of Photo Mode fulfills a long-standing player request. This feature allows players to pose Eve and her companions for personalized screenshots. New photo challenges further enhance this functionality.

To coincide with Photo Mode, Eve receives four new outfits and a new accessory (post-game unlock) altering Tachy Mode's appearance. A "No Ponytail" option enhances customization. Other improvements include lip-sync support for six additional languages, improved projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes for a smoother gaming experience.
