Blizzard Unveils New WoW Housing Details

May 02,25

In 2025, World of Warcraft enthusiasts can look forward to the much-anticipated introduction of a housing system, with Blizzard already unveiling initial details. The developers assure that homes will be accessible to all players without the hassle of complex requirements, exorbitant prices, or lotteries, and there's no risk of losing your home due to a lapsed subscription. The comprehensive rollout of this housing content is slated for the Midnight expansion.

Upon launch, players will have the opportunity to select their plot in one of two designated zones—Alliance players can choose Elwynn Forest, featuring elements from Westfall and Duskwood, while Horde players can opt for Durotar, which includes elements from Azshara and the Durotar coastline.

Each zone will be segmented into districts, with each district housing approximately 50 homes. Players can opt to settle in an open area or join a private community with friends and guildmates. Blizzard promises a plethora of decoration options for personalization, with the majority available in-game, and some exclusive items available in the shop.

The core philosophy behind Blizzard's housing system revolves around three key principles: extensive customization, fostering social interaction, and ensuring longevity. The developers plan to release more details about the housing system in the future and currently invite players to share their feedback and ideas.
