Jack Quaid, known for his role in "The Boys," has expressed his enthusiasm for appearing in a potential BioShock movie, citing the game as one of his all-time favorites. During a Reddit AMA promoting his new film, Novocaine, Quaid highlighted the rich lore of BioShock, suggesting it could be well-suited for a TV or movie adaptation. "I would actually love to be in a live action adaptation of BioShock - one of my favorite games of all time," he stated. "I think there's such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation."

The possibility of a BioShock movie becoming a reality remains uncertain. Last July, producer Roy Lee mentioned that the project had undergone a "reconfiguration" due to leadership changes at Netflix, aiming for a more personal narrative. This shift was influenced by budget cuts, leading to a smaller-scale film. Despite these changes, Francis Lawrence, known for directing The Hunger Games, remains attached to direct the project. However, specific plot details have not been disclosed, leaving fans curious about the direction the film might take.

Quaid's interest in BioShock aligns with his broader passion for video games. He acknowledged his striking resemblance to Max Payne, a character whose likeness is based on Remedy writer Sam Lake. This resemblance has led some fans to mistakenly believe that Quaid's new action movie, Novocaine, is a Max Payne film. Quaid admitted to being less familiar with Max Payne, despite the visual similarities, and expressed his interest in playing the game, which is currently being remade by Remedy in collaboration with Rockstar.

Beyond BioShock, Quaid is an avid fan of FromSoftware's challenging games. In the same Reddit AMA, he shared his experiences with titles like Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring, emphasizing his love for the demanding gameplay. "I'm a huge video game nerd," he said. "And lately I've been diving headfirst into the FromSoftware library. I beat Bloodborne, then I beat Sekiro, and now I'm going full boar into Elden Ring. Actually, the thing I use Reddit the most for is tips and tricks on beating Fromsoft's bosses. I love how challenging the games are - it took me a while to get into them, but now I'm obsessed."
