Capcom Releases PC Troubleshooting Guide for Monster Hunter Wilds Amid 'Mixed' Steam Reviews
Capcom has issued official advice for PC players of Monster Hunter Wilds on Steam following the game's launch to a 'mixed' user review rating due to performance issues. The Japanese gaming giant recommends that Steam users update their graphics drivers, disable compatibility mode, and adjust their in-game settings to address any initial problems. "Thank you all for your patience and support!" Capcom expressed via a tweet.
Among the critical feedback, one of the most helpful 'Not Recommended' reviews on Steam highlighted severe optimization issues, stating, "Monster Hunter Wilds has the worst optimization I've ever seen." The reviewer acknowledged the increasing demands of new games but found the performance issues "absurd" and "inexcusable," especially when compared to similar issues faced by Monster Hunter: World at launch. They suggested waiting for a more stable release despite not considering the game itself as bad.
Echoing these sentiments, another negative review criticized the game's performance as "absolutely atrocious" given its visual quality, even performing worse than the beta version.
To assist Steam users, Capcom released a 'Troubleshooting & Known Issues' guide. The guide includes steps to troubleshoot issues and ensure the game runs smoothly:
