Mastering Character Customization in Monster Hunter Wilds

Character customization is a key feature in Monster Hunter Wilds, offering players extensive options to personalize their hunter and palico. This guide details how to modify your character's appearance and equipment.

Altering Physical Appearance

Monster Hunter Wilds provides a detailed character creator accessible throughout the game. Once you've established your base camp, access the Appearance Menu within your tent (using L1 or R1). Select "Change Appearance" to revisit the character creator and adjust your hunter's and palico's physical features.

Outfit Changes and Layered Armor

The Layered Armor system is available from the game's outset. Navigate to the Appearance Menu in your tent and choose "Equipment Appearance." This lets you customize your hunter's and palico's outfits using unlocked Layered Armor pieces. Note: You can't directly transmog equipped armor with other forged armor sets. To change your outfit beyond Layered Armor, you must forge and equip new armor, keeping in mind the associated stat differences.

Seikret Customization

The Appearance Menu also includes Seikret Customization. Here, you can modify your Seikret's skin and feather colors, patterns, decorations, and even eye color.
