Clash of Clans to Remove Troop Training Times in Major Update

Apr 17,25

Clash of Clans, a cornerstone of mobile gaming, is set to undergo a significant transformation that will change the way players engage with the game. Supercell is preparing to completely eliminate troop training times, allowing players to deploy their armies almost instantly and dive into battles quicker than ever before. This monumental change follows the removal of training costs in 2022, signaling a continued effort to modernize the game for its dedicated fanbase.

As part of this update, Training Potions and Training Treats will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. However, players can still acquire them from the Trader and Gold Pass for a limited time. It's crucial to use these items before the end of the month, as they will be converted to Gems thereafter.

To complement this change, Supercell is introducing a new feature called "Match Anytime." This mechanic allows players to attack a snapshot of another player's base when real-time opponents are unavailable. You'll earn rewards from these matches, but the owners of the bases used in these snapshots won't lose anything if their base is defeated. This feature, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now be a standard part of the game.

Alongside these updates, Supercell is implementing other changes, such as requiring Elixirs or Dark Elixirs for Army Donations. For a comprehensive overview of all the updates and more, be sure to check out the Supercell blog.
