Code Geass: Global Journey Concludes on Mobile Devices!

Dec 17,24

The mobile strategy tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global run. While the Japanese version will continue, the international servers are shutting down on August 29th, 2024. This means no new downloads, purchases, or logins will be possible after that date. The game's global social media presence will also cease on the same day.

Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, based on the popular Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion franchise, the game launched globally in September 2023. Its short lifespan is attributed to low download numbers and less-than-stellar global reviews. Many licensed anime games struggle to gain traction outside Japan due to lower player spending in other regions.

Despite its closure, the game's Japanese player base remains active. Japanese players can still access the game via the Google Play Store. The developers haven't publicly stated the exact reasons for the global shutdown.
