Codenames, The Classic Board Game About Spies And Secret Agents, Is Now Out On Android!
If you’re into word games, you must have played Codenames at some point of time. This popular, classic board game about spies and secret agents is now available as an app. The original board game was designed by Vlaada Chvátil, while this one is being published by CGE Digital. What Are Codenames? They’re secret names you give to different characters. You’re on a team trying to find secret agents hidden behind code names, using one-word clues from your spymaster. You need to figure out the right words, avoid bystanders and definitely steer clear of the assassin.Codenames is a multiplayer game where two teams go head-to-head in a battle of wits, trying to guess which words on the grid are hiding their agents. You use a single clue that ties multiple words together. So, how well can you read between the lines and outsmart the other team? The digital version of Codenames has new words, game modes and achievements to unlock. It has a bit of a career mode as well. You’ll level up, earn rewards and unlock some special gadgets as you go.The best thing is that it’s an asynchronous multiplayer. It means everyone has up to 24 hours to make their move. You can start a bunch of games at once, challenge people from around the world, and even tackle solo challenges every day.Curious to see how it all fits? Take a look at the trailer below!
It’s Still A Guessing Game! You get a grid of cards on the screen, and your job is to tap the ones you think are hiding your agents. If you guess right, the cards flip over, revealing who’s who. But if you accidentally pick the assassin, your team loses.Well, it can get a little tricky, especially when you have a bunch of games going at the same time. But that’s part of the challenge! As you get better, you’ll eventually get to play as the spymaster, the one giving out the clues.
Are you willing to prove you have the best spy skills by mastering word association puzzles? Then, grab Codenames from the Google Play Store at $4.99.
