How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Mar 17,25

Ready to dive into the world of Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter: World*? These unique weapons let you craft custom gear with almost any stat and elemental combination imaginable. It's a late-game pursuit, so let's break down everything you need to know.

Crafting Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter: World

Artian Weapon Crafting

First, you'll need to unlock this crafting feature. This requires completing the main story, reaching High Rank, and then defeating your first Tempered monster. We won't spoil which monster it is; you'll know it when you see it—the NPCs will make it clear!

After defeating this formidable beast, Gemma will initiate a conversation about Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial. You'll learn that Gemma can now craft them. Each weapon type requires three components—at least one of each—to craft. But it's more nuanced than that.

Components have rarity, element type, and an Artian bonus. Only components of the same rarity can be combined. The weapon's elemental effect is determined by the most prevalent element among your components. Two water and one lightning component result in a water weapon. Three water components create a stronger water infusion, while three different elements result in no elemental infusion.

The Artian bonus provides either an attack boost or an affinity boost (critical hit chance). The choice depends on your preferred playstyle.

Obtaining Artian Materials in Monster Hunter: World

Artian Materials

Acquiring Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. Usually, one or two roam each area after defeating your first. In-game notifications will alert you to their presence, and their blue outlines on the map make them easy to spot.

Defeating or capturing a Tempered monster yields Artian parts. Farm these monsters to collect the materials you need. You'll find these parts among your post-mission rewards, alongside decorations. The rarity of these materials increases with your hunter rank.

While there's no direct correlation between hunted monster and Artian material type, hunt monsters you enjoy fighting or need parts from for other weapons or armor.
