Where To Find Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

I stumbled upon my first Essence Stone while hunting for items to break the Fire Seal on Floor 60, but be on the lookout as these chests can appear across various biomes and floors. Beware of mimic enemies that look like chests but will harm you upon interaction.

Essence Stones come in four sizes: tiny, small, medium, and large. Smaller stones are more common, but with some exploration, you might find larger ones. If you're struggling to find them, you can craft Essence Stones once you've built the Stone Refinery within the mines.

How To Craft Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

Crafting Essence Stones is possible at the Stone Refinery, a new feature introduced in *Fields of Mistria* with the March 2025 update. To access the refinery, you must complete a story quest that involves constructing it from scratch inside the mines, with help from Adeline, Olric, and Errol.

To build the Stone Refinery, gather the following materials:

• x200 Wood
• x400 Stone
• x5,000 Tesserae

Once constructed, you can craft Essence Stones of various sizes at the refinery. Each stone requires Stone and Essence, with the quantity varying by size:

The Stone Refinery is not just for crafting Essence Stones; it's also a hub for creating common materials, Refined Stone, and rare items like Obsidian and Diamond, which are essential for various projects around Mistria.

How To Use Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The March 2025 update brought the auto-petter and sprinkler mechanics to *Fields of Mistria*, both of which rely on Essence Stones. Larger stones provide a longer charge, with Large Essence Stones offering the most extended duration.

The auto-petter feature is linked to the Animal Sprite Statue, which you can place in Large Barns and Coops to automatically pet all the animals daily. To find this statue, head to the concealed cave next to Errol's house in the Narrows and use the Dragon's Breath spell to open the entrance. Once unlocked, you can craft additional statues as needed.

The sprinkler mechanic is activated by the Water Sprite Statue, which you can place anywhere on your farm to water crops within a 2-tile radius. To locate this statue and its crafting scroll, swim to the small island east of the beach, beyond the Lighthouse area, and use Dragon's Breath to access the entrance. You can craft more statues to cover your entire farm.
