The developer confirmed its self-publishing plans, stating in a statement to Eurogamer that this approach is projected to be more lucrative. While acknowledging ongoing discussions and collaborations with various partners, Pearl Abyss emphasized its commitment to independent publishing.
Release Date and Platforms Still Under Wraps
No official release date or definitive platform list has been announced. While September investor meetings revealed Sony's attempt to secure a PS5 exclusive deal (potentially excluding Xbox for a period), Pearl Abyss's self-publishing decision prioritizes broader accessibility. A playable build will be showcased to media this week in Paris, followed by a public demonstration at G-Star in November. Current expectations point to a PC, PlayStation, and Xbox release sometime around Q2 2025.
