Crunchyroll Drops Roguelike Rhythm Game Crypt Of The NecroDancer On Android
Crunchyroll's mobile release of the critically acclaimed rhythm roguelike, Crypt of the NecroDancer, is now available on Android. Previously released on PC and with earlier appearances on iOS and Android, this enhanced version, simply titled "Crunchyroll: NecroDancer," boasts a wealth of new content.
Gameplay Overview:
Players take on the role of Cadence, a treasure hunter's daughter, venturing into a rhythmically challenging crypt to rescue her missing parent. The roguelike nature ensures each playthrough is unique. Fifteen playable characters, each with distinct abilities, add replayability. The game's soundtrack by Danny Baranowsky is integral to the gameplay, demanding players synchronize their movements and attacks with the music. Failure to maintain the beat results in failure. Expect a diverse cast of enemies, from dancing skeletons to musically inclined dragons.
More Than Just a Port:
This mobile version isn't just a simple port; it includes remixes, fresh content, and even character skins from the popular anime series Danganronpa. Cross-platform multiplayer and mod support are also included. Further enhancing the experience, DLC featuring Hatsune Miku and the Synchrony expansion is slated for release later this year.
Crunchyroll subscribers can download Crunchyroll: NecroDancer now from the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for more gaming news, including the upcoming Star Trek Lower Decks x Doctor Who crossover!
