Crusader Kings III Chapter IV: Expanding Horizons with Mongols and Asia

Mar 21,25

Paradox Interactive has unveiled its ambitious plans for Crusader Kings III in 2025, launching Chapter IV: a significant expansion focusing on Asia. This chapter introduces new mechanics and vast territories, promising a fresh and engaging gameplay experience.

The journey begins with the recently released Crowns of the World cosmetic DLC. This stylish pack offers players six new crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, enhancing character customization options.

Next up, on April 28th, is the major DLC, Khans of the Steppe. Take the reins as the Great Khan, leading nomadic hordes across the steppes, conquering lands, and establishing your dominance.

Following the Khans of the Steppe, Coronations arrives in Q3 (July-September). This DLC introduces a significant ceremonial mechanic, allowing players to legitimize their rule through grand coronation events. Host lavish celebrations, make crucial vows, and shape the destiny of your kingdom. New advisor and vassal events further enrich political interactions, adding depth to royal succession.

The grand finale of Chapter IV is All Under Heaven, a massive expansion slated for later this year. This expansion dramatically expands the map to include all of East Asia, featuring meticulously detailed representations of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian archipelago. Prepare for a vast and challenging new frontier.

Between these major DLC releases, Paradox will continue to refine the game with patches focusing on game systems and AI improvements. The developers actively encourage player feedback, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26th.
