Cyberpunk Action Game Replaced Delayed to Next Year

Feb 19,25

Thunderful Group's recent financial report reveals a significant delay for the highly anticipated cyberpunk platformer, Replaced. Initially slated for a 2022 release, the game, developed by Sad Cat Studios, has faced multiple postponements, landing now on a projected 2026 launch date.

Previous announcements pegged the release for 2025, with Sad Cat citing the game's unique development challenges. The game's journey has been a long one, with delays pushing it from 2022 to 2023, and then to 2024. Despite these setbacks, the studio remains dedicated to delivering a top-tier product, fueled by the considerable anticipation surrounding the game.

First unveiled in 2021 during Microsoft's E3 presentation, Replaced has generated significant buzz. While Sad Cat has yet to officially address this latest delay, they've maintained sporadic communication with fans, offering glimpses of gameplay, including combat footage and a mini-game showcased this past summer.
