Dead Island 2 Update Introduces New Zombie-Killing ModesWelcome the Revenants to Dead Island 2
The new zombie type, dubbed Revenants—enhanced Apex zombie variants—exhibits altered behaviors and improved capabilities designed for heightened difficulty. "This, combined with New Game Plus changes, elevates the challenge," the developers declared, assuring players seeking a difficult experience will find it.
To bolster NG+ zombie-slaying, all weapons are amplified compared to the main game, featuring more high-rarity weapons. Additionally, the update introduces Neighborhood Watch horde mode, blending horde and tower defense elements, requiring players to protect their base. Each five-day Neighborhood Watch run involves four days of base defense, enemy elimination, and objective completion for gear acquisition.
