Deadlock Introduces Six Experimental Heroes in Latest UpdateNew Heroes, Changed Names, and Reused Skills for the Roster
Valve's highly anticipated MOBA shooter, Deadlock, burst onto the gaming scene in mid-2024 and has held a steady spot atop Steam's Most Wishlisted games list ever since. While regular weekly updates have kept fans engaged, the recent "10-24-2024" update is the most significant yet, introducing six new heroes for players to explore and test out.
These new additions—Calico, Fathom (formerly Slork), Holliday (also called Astro in their skill descriptions), Magician, Viper, and Wrecker—are currently limited to the Hero Sandbox mode and are not yet accessible in casual or ranked PvP. Although each hero’s kit has been added, some Skills are still placeholder duplicates from other heroes, such as Magician’s ultimate ability being a copy of Paradox’s Paradoxical Swap.
For an early look at each character’s current role and playstyle, check the table below to see how they’re shaping up on the battlefield!
