Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4: Console Testing Update and Save Transfer

Undertale creator Toby Fox has provided a progress update on the console testing for Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4. While significant work remains, the process is reportedly proceeding smoothly.

Save Game Compatibility Confirmed

Fox confirmed via Bluesky that console testing is underway, with bug fixes a priority. A key development is the integration of save file transfer functionality. Saves from the Chapters 1 and 2 demo will be carried over to the full release of Chapters 3 and 4 on consoles, a feature recently enabled by newly acquired technology.

With beta testing progressing well, a 2025 release (as previously announced) remains on track.

A New Character Revealed: Tenna

Amidst the development, Fox shared a humorous anecdote about a minigame he's creating. His family and friends interpreted it as a cry for help due to the game's delayed release. This sparked speculation that the minigame might be intended for Chapter 5, given Fox's earlier confirmation that Chapters 3 and 4's content is finalized.

More significantly, Fox mentioned a friend's nostalgic comment about a character named Tenna, previously only seen in the Spamton Sweepstakes campaign (September 2022). This confirms Tenna's appearance in Chapter 3.

Deltarune, the spiritual successor to Undertale, continues to build anticipation. Players will once again join Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on their world-saving adventure.
