Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Ghoulish Vote and Growing Concerns

Destiny 2 players are gearing up for a spooky choice: vote for new Festival of the Lost armor sets inspired by iconic horror figures. Bungie's "Slashers vs. Spectres" theme pits Jason Voorhees-inspired Titan armor against Babadook-themed Titan alternatives, Ghostface-inspired Hunter armor against La Llorona Hunters, and Scarecrow vs. Slenderman Warlock sets. The winning designs will grace the October event. Additionally, the previously unreleased Wizard armor from the 2024 event will be available during Episode Heresy.

The announcement, however, comes amidst a backdrop of community frustration. Episode Revenant has been plagued by bugs, including broken tonics, impacting player enjoyment and potentially contributing to a decline in player numbers and engagement. While many appreciate Bungie's creative take on horror icons, some find the focus on a distant event, ten months out, insensitive to current player concerns regarding the game's state. The community is seeking acknowledgement of these issues and a demonstration of Bungie's commitment to addressing them.
