Destiny Child is Reborn: A New Idle RPG is Coming

Destiny Child, the popular mobile game initially launched in 2016, is making a triumphant return. After a September 2023 "memorial" closure, Com2uS has partnered with ShiftUp to develop a brand-new iteration of the game. This time, players can expect an idle RPG experience, a significant departure from the original.

A Fresh Take on a Classic:

Com2uS, with its subsidiary Tiki Taka Studio (developers of Arcana Tactics), is spearheading the development of this new Destiny Child. While retaining the beloved 2D character art and the emotional core of the original, the gameplay will feature entirely new mechanics. This promises a fresh perspective on the franchise while honoring its legacy.

A Trip Down Memory Lane (For Some):

Before the official shutdown, ShiftUp released a memorial version of Destiny Child, allowing former players a final glimpse of their cherished characters. This version, accessible only to those with pre-existing accounts and a verification code, showcases the stunning character illustrations and allows players to revisit their Childs. While lacking the full gameplay experience, it serves as a poignant farewell and a reminder of the game's charm. This memorial version is available on the Google Play Store, at least until the new game launches.
