Tyler clarified that the current beta doesn't include all the features slated for the full release. Upon its launch, *Schedule I* soared to the top of Steam's sales charts, outpacing major titles such as *Monster Hunter Wilds*, *GTA 5*, and *Marvel Rivals*. The game's viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube has fueled its popularity. In *Schedule I*, players start as small-time drug dealers in the gritty city of Hyland Point, with the goal of becoming a powerful kingpin by manufacturing and distributing various drugs, expanding their empire through property acquisition, business management, and hiring employees.
Developed and published by the Australian indie developer Tyler under the TVGS banner, Tyler has described the game's explosive launch as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." He expressed his surprise at the response in a Reddit post, saying, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
