Netflix has thrilled fans by announcing the premiere date for the anime adaptation of Devil May Cry and releasing its opening trailer. The trailer, set to the iconic nu-metal track "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit, showcases dynamic scenes featuring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit, packed with nods to the beloved video game series.

Showrunner Adi Shankar has shared his ambitious vision for the series, which is set in the late 90s to early 2000s. Shankar believes the soundtrack perfectly captures the essence of that era. In addition to Limp Bizkit, fans can expect other iconic tracks from the time, as well as a reimagined soundtrack from the games by the synthwave duo Power Glove.

Shankar also hinted at the series' future, revealing that subsequent seasons will feature different visual styles and soundtracks to reflect the diversity of the Devil May Cry games. This suggests that the anime will extend beyond a single season, promising an evolving experience for viewers.

While plot details remain under wraps, the first season is expected to draw from the manga "Code 1: Dante" (Devil May Cry 3). It will follow young demon hunter Dante as he investigates a child's disappearance, leading him to confront his past, family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda.

The first season will comprise 8 episodes and is slated to premiere on April 3, 2025. Fans of the Devil May Cry series can look forward to a thrilling blend of nostalgia, action, and deep narrative exploration in this highly anticipated anime adaptation.
