Disco Elysium Coming Soon to Mobile

Following its recent reveal of Project C4, ZA/UM has announced a mobile adaptation of the acclaimed RPG Disco Elysium, launching exclusively for Android devices.

The studio aims to introduce the game to new audiences while offering existing fans a portable way to experience its world. Players can access the first two chapters for free before making a one-time payment to unlock the full ad-free experience.

"We want players to make an informed purchasing decision," ZA/UM stated. "As both creators and caretakers of this IP, we've prioritized delivering an authentic mobile experience that stays true to Disco Elysium's essence."

Redesigned for Mobile Play

Studio Head Denis Havel emphasized the game's appeal to modern mobile audiences: "We're crafting bite-sized narrative moments designed to engage the TikTok generation through compelling storytelling, striking visuals, and immersive audio."

The mobile version features new 360-degree scenes tailored specifically for smartphones, placing players at the heart of Revachol. Enhanced voice acting further deepens the immersive experience.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described it as "what audiobooks aspire to be – a rich, interactive story designed for short play sessions."

The game is scheduled for release on Android in summer 2025, rebuilt from the ground up for mobile while retaining the original's acclaimed narrative depth and roleplaying elements.

It's worth noting that while the ZA/UM name remains, many core team members from Disco Elysium's development have since departed the studio, with some working on independent spiritual successors.
