Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2

Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and accessible only via a destroyed bridge, presents a significant challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and reach the island.

Method 1: The Spirit Bridge

The remnants of a bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, closer to Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken segments. Several approaches exist:

  1. Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the gaps.

  2. Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, though not all companions possess them.

  3. Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are needed. One companion uses translocation to reach the other side, then the rest teleport using the pyramids.

  4. Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island, unlocks the waypoint, allowing the rest to fast travel.

Method 2: The Undead Ferry

Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage. However, this is deceptive:

  • With Fane: Only Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, survives the crossing. He unlocks the waypoint for the rest of the party to fast travel.

  • Without Fane: Use two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), and the rest teleport to them, reviving the companion.

Method 2 (Without Fane) - Detailed Steps:

  1. Unchain your party.
  2. Equip a Teleporter Pyramid to a companion.
  3. That companion takes the ferry, perishing on Bloodmoon Island.
  4. With the rest of the party chained, use the second pyramid to warp to the deceased companion.
  5. Revive the companion using resurrection or a scroll.

Important Considerations:

  • Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless you've saved your game. He retaliates with a potentially lethal Deathfog spell. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.

  • If you lack Fane, the bridge is generally the faster route.

By employing these strategies, you can successfully navigate the Deathfog and explore the secrets of Bloodmoon Island.
