Dragon Age enthusiasts were stunned when the RPG’s Steam page was updated yesterday to include a free add-on, the Rook’s Weapons Appearance Offer. While modest, the new content is a welcome surprise, especially since EA had previously indicated limited future support for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Following the fifth patch in January, which focused on fixing critical bugs, fresh content seemed unlikely—making this release a delightful anomaly.

The Rook’s Weapons Appearances bundle is exclusive to current owners of the game and those who purchase it on PC by April 8, 2025. Details about the bundle’s contents are sparse, but players have discovered it includes Watchful skins accessible in Rook’s in-game room. It remains uncertain whether this offer will extend to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X | S versions.

EA told IGN that BioWare’s focus had shifted entirely to the next Mass Effect.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard was added to the PlayStation Plus March 2025 lineup, just four months after its debut. No further plans for the game’s future have been revealed.
