Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Hints Saudi Ratings Board

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, despite no official announcement yet about the fighting game's availability on the new console.

Although there's no official word from the developers confirming that the game inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series will be on Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, as spotted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.

"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet stated before being removed, also confirming a 12+ rating for the game.

PlayDragon Ball: Sparking! Zero builds upon the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series, enhancing it with an "incredible number" of playable characters, each boasting unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.

In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we rated it 7/10, stating: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened on April 24, with the console priced at $449.99. The demand was predictably high, leading to Nintendo issuing a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store, noting that release date delivery could not be guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
