Duet Night Abyss (DNA) held its global launch announcement livestream on August 26, where developer Pan Studio unexpectedly revealed that the game will no longer include gacha mechanics.

Originally, DNA was a free-to-play fantasy adventure RPG with a gacha system allowing players to obtain characters and weapons via banners. According to Pan Studio, this model is being phased out, as all characters and weapons will now be accessible for free through in-game progression.

Furthermore, the game is also removing its stamina system, granting players greater freedom to farm dungeons without the "pressure to optimize efficiency." These adjustments were made in response to community feedback gathered after the game's second closed beta test.
