Elden Ring Reveals Nightreign, a Ranged Class

Elden Ring Nightreign has unveiled a new ranged class known as the Ironeye, just before its May launch. Discover more about this sniper class right here!
Nightreign Introduces Its Sixth Class: The Ironeye
A Precision Ranged Sniper
Elden Ring: Nightreign has introduced a new class called the Ironeye ahead of its May release. This lethal sniper class delivers a fresh take on ranged combat, emphasizing speed and agility. The gameplay trailer highlights the class in action, featuring a powerful bow and arrow setup and the ability to scale walls for optimal mid-air assaults. As part of the spin-off, it also utilizes a new aiming system designed to improve headshot accuracy. The character was even shown performing a riposte maneuver—driving an arrow straight into an enemy's heart.
During the Nightreign closed network test in February, players could try out four of the eight announced classes: the versatile Wylder, sturdy Guardian, agile Duchess, and spellcasting Recluse. The Ironeye is the sixth class revealed. With Nightreign launching next month, it's likely that FromSoftware will announce the final two classes before the end of the month.

Given the numerous quality-of-life improvements showcased—such as the new aiming system—many fans hope these updates will also be integrated into the original Elden Ring. This could make bows a more attractive weapon choice than they were previously.
On platforms like Reddit, bows have often been overlooked as primary weapons, especially given the dominance of melee builds in the original game. However, with this enhanced sniper class demonstrating the power of bow combat, more players may now be tempted to experiment with ranged builds.
Elden Ring: Nightreign, a standalone expansion, is set to launch on May 30, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $39.99. For further details, check out Game8’s coverage at the link below!
