为庆祝《怪物猎人》20周年，《怪物猎人》系列与数码宝贝展开合作，推出掌上虚拟宠物设备“数码宝贝COLOR 怪物猎人20周年纪念版”。这款纪念版设备以《怪物猎人》系列中的火龙和迅龙为主题，推出两种配色，每款售价7700日元（约合53.2美元），不含其他费用。
这款数码宝贝COLOR 怪物猎人20周年纪念版配备彩色液晶屏幕、UV打印技术和内置可充电电池。与前代产品一样，它拥有彩色液晶屏幕、内置可充电电池以及可自定义的背景设计。游戏还加入了“冷冻模式”机制，可以暂时暂停数码宝贝的成长、饥饿度和力量属性。此外，它还具有备份系统，可以备份和保存您的数码宝贝和游戏进度。
