Explore Ancient China: Uncover the Secrets of Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors Origins

Feb 25,25

Dynasty Warriors: Origins, while not open-world, features a sizable map that can become challenging to navigate as the game progresses. Unlocking new skirmishes and requests often necessitates extensive backtracking. Fortunately, the game offers a fast travel system to significantly reduce travel time, especially for players aiming to complete all side content.

Fast Traveling in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Fast travel is facilitated through Waymarks accessible via the in-game map. Before utilizing fast travel, Waymarks must be unlocked. This is achieved by physically approaching a Waymark on the world map and pressing X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox). Once unlocked, the Waymark appears on the map screen, enabling instant travel.

Accessing the map is possible in two ways: interacting with an unlocked Waymark on the world map (outside of battle) or pausing the game and navigating to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation players can access the map more quickly by pressing the DualSense touchpad while on the world map.

The map screen displays unlocked Waymarks. Hovering over a Waymark reveals nearby key locations and battles. Pressing Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) toggles information display. Use Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to cycle through battles and locations. Selecting a destination automatically moves the cursor to the nearest Waymark.
