Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide
In the co-operative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your mission is clear yet challenging: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of monsters that randomly spawn throughout the game. Success in escaping with your loot not only brings a sense of achievement but also rewards you with hard-earned cash to spend on essential survival gear. However, this cash comes with a catch – the menacing AI Taxman is always watching, ready to claim his due.
Securing and extracting valuable items involves reaching the Extraction Point, where your C.A.R.T of treasures is assessed, and if successful, you're allowed to proceed to the Service Station. Here, with any luck, you'll have an abundance of cash to spend on upgrades and supplies. As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, the extraction process becomes routine, transforming what initially seems daunting into a manageable part of your strategy.
How to Extract in *R.E.P.O.*
When you start your journey in *R.E.P.O.*, there's only one Extraction Point available. However, as you progress through levels and locations, the number of Extraction Points can increase up to a maximum of four. You can monitor your progress by looking at the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen, which indicates both the total number of Extraction Points and how many you've already completed.

At the start of each level, the first Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck, a constant starting point for your initial haul. After your first drop-off, the challenge ramps up. You'll need to navigate the level without knowing the Taxman's demands or the location of subsequent Extraction Points.
Your in-game map, accessible by pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, becomes an invaluable tool. It shows unexplored areas, helping you plan your routes and, if playing co-op, allowing your team to spread out and cover more ground efficiently.

As you approach the area of the next Extraction Point, you'll either spot it or hear it. Once located, activate the big red button to learn your fate and whether you've gathered enough items. If you meet the required number, place your C.A.R.T within the designated grey area to ensure no items are destroyed.
After completing an Extraction Point, you'll either move on to the next one or attempt to return to the truck safely. Notably, after the final Extraction Point is used and valuables counted, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T back to the truck; a new one will always be available at the start of the next level or location.
With this comprehensive guide on extracting items in *R.E.P.O.*, you're now equipped to tackle the game's challenges. Be sure to explore our other *R.E.P.O.* guides for more tips and strategies.
