Marvel's "launch coverage" begins at 7 AM ET on February 4th (a less-than-ideal 4 AM PT). The video description reads, "The Future Foundation invites you to take your first steps into a fantastic new era."
The film, slated for release on July 25th, 2025, stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Ralph Ineson portrays Galactus, and Julia Garner is the Silver Surfer. Supporting roles include Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. Matt Shakman directs, and Kevin Feige produces.
Here's the official synopsis:
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) — as they confront their most formidable challenge yet. Balancing their heroic duties with their family bonds, they must defend Earth from the voracious space god Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus's planetary annihilation scheme weren't enough, it takes a deeply personal turn.
At New York Comic Con (NYCC) in October, attendees saw artwork showcasing key MCU figures, including a first live-action glimpse of H.E.R.B.I.E. (Humanoid Experimental Robot B-Type Integrated Electronics).
Speculation abounds regarding Robert Downey Jr.'s potential return as Doctor Doom, either in The Fantastic Four: First Steps or through a tease. Feige has confirmed the Fantastic Four's appearances in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
