FF7 Rebirth PC Specs Unveiled
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Two weeks ahead of the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize the need for high-end graphics cards with 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.
The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, ShaderModel 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. This follows the recent PS5 Pro enhancement patch, optimizing the game for Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC at launch; Square Enix is focusing on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.
Key changes to the PC specs include the clarified recommendation of 12-16GB VRAM for 4K resolution. Other minimum requirements remain largely consistent: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, 155GB SSD storage, and 16GB RAM. A multi-core CPU like the Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent is recommended. Graphics card requirements start at an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent (with AMD Radeon RX 6600 as an alternative, but requiring a later model for 4K), due to DLSS implementation.
