"Food Souls RPG 'The Tale of Food' to Shut Down"

Jun 02,25

The charming RPG management game The Tale of Food, where players commanded an army of personified dishes, is set to conclude its journey. First introduced during a closed beta in China in September 2019 and later managed by Tencent Games, the game will officially close its servers on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). In-game purchases were disabled starting February 18th, and new registrations are no longer available. While the game remains accessible for existing users until the servers shut down, it has been removed from the Google Play Store.

If you purchased in-game jewels between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, you can request a refund by contacting in-game support or emailing the developers before March 20th. For more details, refer to the official terms and conditions on the game’s X (formerly Twitter) page.

Notably, the Japan server closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. The global version is now concluding its run.

Even after the servers go offline, fans can continue connecting through the official X, Facebook, and Discord communities to share memories and reminisce about their time as the Food God’s child, managing a whimsical realm filled with dumplings and charismatic sea creatures.
