Fans eager to see the opening episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to head into Fortnite for an exclusive early viewing before the series arrives on Disney+.

Epic Games detailed its expanded Star Wars plans today, announcing that the animated spinoff's first two episodes will debut exclusively within Fortnite. This move is part of the studio's broader push for Star Wars content during the upcoming Galactic Battle season, which is packed with themed rewards.

Viewers can watch the premiere of *Tales of the Underworld*, featuring Asajj Ventress, on the Star Wars Watch Party island starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 2—two days before its Disney+ release. Epic also recommends linking your Epic Games and MyDisney accounts; eligible players will receive a complimentary First Order Stormtrooper outfit. While the full benefits of account linking are still emerging, Epic hints at "more benefits to come."

"Disney and Epic are at the forefront of redefining social entertainment, and this extensive Star Wars partnership showcases the interactive experiences we're building," said Epic Games President Adam Sussman in a statement. "We're transforming immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world's most iconic franchises—stay tuned for much more."

The Watch Party island, featuring a Battle Arena where players can wield lightsabers against waves of foes, will be available until May 11. Fans who watch both episodes will unlock a special Asajj Ventress loading screen.

*Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld* is a six-episode series animated in the style of *The Clone Wars*, following the stories of Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The official synopsis suggests Ventress will encounter a new path in life and an unexpected ally, while Bane is compelled to face his history.

Disney's connection with Fortnite goes beyond the Galactic Battle season. The entertainment giant secured a $1.5 billion stake in Epic in March 2024, solidifying a long-term creative partnership.
