Fortnite's Getaway: Master the Limited Time Mode
The Getaway is an exciting Limited Time Mode that was first introduced in *Fortnite* during Chapter 1 Season 5 and has made a thrilling return in Chapter 6 Season 2. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to play The Getaway in *Fortnite*, along with details on its duration.
Playing The Getaway in Fortnite
Starting The Getaway in *Fortnite* is straightforward. Launch *Fortnite* on your preferred platform, navigate to the Lobby, and select Discover. Look for The Getaway and hit the Play button to start queuing. If you're having trouble finding it, use the search bar in the top left corner of the Lobby, type in "The Getaway," and it should appear instantly.
What Is The Getaway?
The Getaway is a heist-themed game mode where players must retrieve a jewel from the map and escape using a Getaway Van. This PvP mode pits you against other teams vying for the same jewels. The first three teams to secure a jewel and escape in a van are declared winners, but you can also win by eliminating other teams. A unique aspect of this iteration of The Getaway is its availability in Zero Build mode, catering to players who prefer not to engage with *Fortnite*'s building mechanics. You can play in Duos, Squads, Unranked, and Ranked formats.
The Getaway Start and End Dates
The Getaway is currently available in *Fortnite* and will remain so until April 1, at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. I highly recommend playing during this window, as you can earn XP from matches that will contribute to your battle pass progression.
That's everything you need to know about playing The Getaway in *Fortnite*. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
